Thanks for your reply
Np It's a not very widely known design limitation. Just wasn't enough room on the die to allow the inclusion of 4 more clock generators. I was hoping that Cayman would rectify that...but it didn't

Use both dvi and use one of the mini-dp ports for Eyfiity three screens (you can actually use the 2nd mini-dp for four screens). You just need the active adapter to enable the third screen. I know its a pita, but once you have it going it should work.

True, but I believe one is just missing the pins in the square configuration off to the side.

It's actually missing 4 pins internally, the dvi plugs on the cards will most likely always look the same but the cable will be different.

You can go DVI-DVI Displayport as your not using the HDMi, you cant go DVi-DVi HDMI because the HDMI output is using one of the DVI signals.

Can you get to a Microcenter?

http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0345800

amd should have supplied you with a mini-dp to dp adapter, you'll need that for this one linked.

edit: all three of my old sapphires and the HIS had this little mini-dp to dp adapter included.
