no it does not unless theres a work around.

Also whats the beef with glossy screens it makes the panel so much crisper then the dull matte finish.

Glossy screens are terrible. The reflections are awful and distracting unless your rearrange your room just to suit the monitor. I would never purchase one. Ever.

OK so I really want to buy this screen. I love the shape and the look and the idea of 120hz. I just need to get some things clarified with you and since there exactly 0 reviews on the net about it you would be an amazing resource to me.

First of all is there a noticable difference between normal 60hz and your 120hz screen? As in if you had to put another 60hz next yours would there be a big difference?

You say that the colours are amazing and the input lag is minimal, what input are you using? DVI or HDMI?

Do you have any dislikes about the screen? Eg. the buttons are annoying to press.

Yes absolutely yes it is a night and day difference when moving the mouse or a window and playing a game at 120 real fps is just insanely smooth. I'm using the dual link dvi cable that came with the monitor the hdmi doesnt seem to support the 120 hz. Might just be my cable though but.

I've ordered a minidisplayport to display port cable so I can run dual monitors cause my gpu has a crippled dvi bandwidth only 1 can do VGA/dual link and the other monitor I'm trying to use is VGA so ima run 120hz thru display port and then dvi to vga the smaller monitor.

Best tn panel I've ever seen. And yeah the buttons are touch so theres no feed back. But it's a nit pick once rue don't fiddlin with the colors and **** it tajes 2 presses to enable 2d to 3d conversion

Thanks so much for the info.

Are you sure HDMI doesn't support 120hz? As far as I know it does but up till now there has been no monitor/tv that supports it properly.

I've also read that there is no difference between hdmi cables that support 120hz and ones that don't. It's just market hype.

Also do you notice backlight bleed? I found this: http://wecravegamestoo.com/forums/gadgetry-electronics-discussion/8220-samsung-s27a950d-review.html

it's the 27" version but he seems to think the backlight bleed is terrible. Enough that he sent it back. He noticed it even during the day. Is it any better with the 23" version?

Also he has some colour (correct spelling ;D) calibration settings which look very interesting.

Again thank you for the information.

Well either my 6870 doesn't do 120 Hz with hdmi or the monitor doesn't.
maybe someone can clarify this?

Also yes at 100 % brightness u can see some backlight bleed but the only time i notice it is if im looking for it or sitting 1 ft away. Its in the bottom left a little no where near enough to make me return it. But the 27 inch does have a higher brightness rating, maybe it was worse on that screen?

But i love the glossy screen i don't even notice the reflections unless there's a window right behind me

Ok well it looks like I was mistaken. HDMI doesn't support 120hz. I confused this:
http://www.datapro.net/news/does-my-120hz-hdtv-need-a-special-hdmi-cable.html

with monitors that can do 120hz. Apparently tv's and monitors are very different.

It doesn't make much sense though because my ps3 can output 3d from blu ray and yet that uses hdmi and I could then connect that to the samsung monitor.

Gosh, I'm confused.

Anyway thank you for the info. I rekon I'm going to go for it. I liked the look of this monitor since I saw it in previews on the net and fell in love with it after hearing it supported 120hz. And since the alternative is that asus screen that looks like a dead fish compared to the samsung biggrin.gif

The only draw back that I can see is that it doesn't suport nvidia's 3d thing. I would imagine making a gpu do the converting is better than making the monitor do it but then again I've always felt 3d was a gimick so it's ok.
