Help Build my sisters computer.

Thread Starter
So my sister needs a new computer. Shes going to use it to surf the web upload photos from her DSLR and that's about it. Important things this computer must have are reliable fast large hard drive(western Digital 1tb black?) good quality power supply, and good ram 4GB. She has about a 350 to 400 MAX budget.

Im going to get everything from Microcener by my house. I want to get things at a good deal I believe theres a sweet deal on a motherboard and i3 combo.

Yes the western digital black would be amazing I have one love it... And just work on more power then graphics she really doesn't need much if she is just doing pictures and web lol.. And I think a i3 is enough for what she wants to do and just have 4GB of ram that's about it.. And you really dont need much stock cooler that comes with the i3 and you don't need some amazing mobo.. Tell me what you think? Also you could get a SSD for her os and get like a 500GB HD

If you wanted to go the AMD route.. The house brand RAM at Microcenter is A-DATA and is only $40 for 8 gigs so why not..

Would I take an x4 965 over an i7 950.. nope..

Some benches

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/102?vs=289

I guess if your are not going to get 1600mhz ram and overclock the 965BE then I would probably purchase the 2100.. Sandy Bridge FTW..

And BTW, when you put that cpu and mobo combo in your cart it drops the price to $118.50

Not sure what you are hooking up to her pc, but I would opt for a mobo that at least has a DVI output..
