Nvidia Beta drivers vs. WHQL drivers

Thread Starter
As the title says, what is the difference between the two versions of drivers? I assume the WHQL version is the "official" drivers and the Beta is just that, but why are there two different versions?

Also, is it necessary/recommended to update drivers with the latest releases (incl. Beta drivers) or can you just wait for the latest WHQL drivers everytime?

WHQL driver are sent to Microsoft for verification, and comparability/Stability check.Once Microsoft is satisfied, they sign the drivers and send them back to nvidia to distribute them to end users.

Beta driver are directly provided to you. They can have bugs/instability.Due to nature of beat drivers(they needed to be changed a lot of times),They are not sent to Microsoft to save hassle and time.

You can try the beta drivers and see weather they help or not. Many peopel(including me) Only uses they WHQL drivers.I am currently waiting for the 11.8 drivers smile.gif.
