Building a new setup need some help/suggestions

Thread Starter
So I am getting a new computer soon and everyone says to build your own and I have no problem with that, but if you guys were to buy a computer off of a site like ibuypower or cyberpower (I know people say they're the same) where you can pretty much build your own computer where would you recommend to go?

Also I was wondering if anyone would be nice enough to maybe build a pretty good set up? I know some people hate these threads and say "dont be lazy and do it yourself we're not here to build a computer for you"

Im not lazy, i have made many different set ups but the thing is I am a bit new to the whole building a computer thing and am sure there are many people here that know more then I do about making one that is top notch for me. So with that said you can either help me out and be awesome or not..

I have 3000 dollars to spend and I am mainly focusing on a computer that is GREAT for gaming and has alot of memory so i can use Zbrush and save big projects. I need one screen and no speakers. other then that I will leave it up to your guys imagination

Thanks alot for helping me out guys!

Or, if you want to take a deeper plunge and really go all out, try watercooling. Since the above poster recommended a Corsair 800D case which is primarily a case for watercooling. I would suggest you purchase an XSPC Rasa RX360 watercooling kit. It will keep your cpu very cool; plus you can overclock the hell out of it. The Rasa kit will cost you around $200.00.

I suggested it more because of the airflow; it's a large case and 2 GTX580s will spit out quite a bit of heat.

Is the OP looking to work with an SLI set-up or just a single card? Also, you may want to go with a 2600K if you plan on doing a lot of 3D rendering that can utilize hyper-threading. Also, it may behoove you to grab a 12 or 16GB of RAM if you think you'll need it.

As for buying a 'custom built' pc from an online shop, I've heard good things about Digitalstorm and Origin pcs but you won't get nearly as much performance for your dollar as you would building one yourself. It's honestly a piece of cake. I built my first one a few months ago, going into it so petrified I wouldn't even open the boxes until a week after I got the parts, and found that the hardware was very easy to install and incredible hard to permanently screwed up. The biggest headaches come from software/drivers, which may or may not come updated and optimized from the pc builder.
