I have the BCLK up at 0.02 so that the Bus Speed evens out at 100.0mhz

My question is that it reverted to 16x after I did this? then jumps back up to 45x where I was.

I dont understand? Is this the C3/C6 states?
That's the proper (and preferred) behavior of Sandy Bridge CPUs (unlike with Core2).

However, I recommend using CPU-Z and Real Temp 3.67 instead of Hardware Monitor and SpeedFan.

Okay, I will begin to use Real Temp 3.67 ---

I also noticed that at 46x - the burn locks me up right away - so I am going to try burning with C3/C6 on Auto instead of enable.. then if it passes, try x46 with C3/C6 on Auto...

If it fails.. ?

Enabling C3 and C6 will result in BSODs while idling if you're using an Offset Voltage.

I also recommend not using LinX (not even LinX with AVX). When the Sandy Bridge experts here on OCN were helping me learn all about Sandy Bridge, there was one major thing that stuck out to me: they said Prime95's Blend test is far superior to anything else for stress testing Sandy Bridge CPUs. With previous CPU generations, it was better to test a system with both LinX and Prime95, but it seems that LinX is a huge waste of time with Sandy Bridge.

So, that's all I use now.

What happens when you try to open it? Also, what is the exact file name of what you are trying to open?

Like it or not, it's said to be the absolute best stress testing software for Sandy Bridge. It's also said that LinX with AVX is nothing more than a CPU cooker for Sandy Bridge.

It says Title: Driver Error "Driver not loaded"
Try Run As Administrator.

I tried that- no go
