Looks pretty nice, unfortunately with Apple's recent business practices I'm not sure I would feel comfortable supporting them fiscally.

Yeah same here. I really would like to buy this, but I'm not going to support a company that does things such as patent trolling to the extent they do. Even if I've had (and enjoyed) their products for as long as I can remember.

And streaming on 3G is pretty bad.

The only viable way to watch movies on an iPhone is if it were to have at least 128gb+ storage.
Really? I have an 8 gig 3gs with 5 movies on it now and still have 2 gigs of free space.
No you can't store 30 movies on it, but I watch the ones on it then take them off and put new ones on.

As for 3g streaming, I have no issues with netflix.

My friends also charge their iPhones every night because the battery is dead.

So, as long as it gets me through the day, I don't really mind charging every night because I've gotten used to it because of Steve Jobs :

Anyways, I'm interested in heading into the Android foray, and my friend is giving me a Nexus S for free.
All smart phones have poor battery life. Average use for you could be heavy use or light use for another. I can drain my battery in 2-3 hours playing games on it with wi-fi, GPS, bluetooth and such on, or it can last 2 days by turning stuff off and not using it.

As for the OP, all these new iphone designs and such are just guesses, and no point in worrying about it till it comes out. Heck, probably 2/3 of the people that get one could care less what it is, so long as it is the newest apple iphone, they want it.
I will finally be able to get a 4g for a decent price once these come out. I have no problem being a generation behind. That is if I don't get a Windoes Phone 7 phone. Waiting to see what Nokia comes out with and how well it works.

I don't think Apple would do a capacitive button. The one thing I do respect them for is their hardware design, and capacitive buttons are simply idiotic.

Also, we'll probably see 100 more of these so called "leaked" designs. Its one of the side effects of the graphic design industry's unhealthy obsession with Apple products.

I still don't think we'll be seeing an iPhone 5 this year though. Next month Apple will probably release an "iPhone 4S" with a slower A5. The only hardware change I could see would be a slight reduction in the thickness, for no other reason than to take the "worlds thinnest smartphone" crown away from the Galaxy S II or whichever phone has surpassed it.

Although it would be nice if they fixed the design. It looks nice, but its one of the worst phones on the market to actually hold in your hand. The case isn't really optional, you need it for the extra grip.

I thought the same thing when people told be the first iphone had a recessed 3.5mm connector. They will do anything they want and no one will complain. The antenna issues is proof. Still exist but no one cares. Apple can release an iphone with a smaller screen crappier cameras, call it the iPhone mini and it will sell. They can release a POS flip phone, put iPhone Flip on the box and a million units out the door. I think people mistake apple for what they really are. Not the best phone/tablet/computer manufacturers,, but one of if not the best marketing team in the world, They can make a $1,500 iMac (laptop witha big screen right???) sell better than a high end gaming machine with SLI/Crossfire.
Apple, marketing is all they need. Cant wait for the new iPhone to release. Looks nice. I might actually use one.... As long as I can get it to work on Simple Mobile.... ATT is crap land, and Verizon is robbery world.

The home button on iPhones is getting a little dated. I hope iOS5 finds out a way to remove the need for the home button. This would be a sweet little device if it were almost entirely screen.

That looks pretty damn thin! Kudos if this is true. Still won't buy it lol.

I like some of the apple products but supporting a company that seems to want to destroy any competition in it's way is simply ridiculous.

broken patent system is broken.

otherwise the phone (minus the home button) looks sleek as usual.

I don't think Samsung is going to be a business partner with Apple anymore.

I am still very curious of the design specs. Competition breeds innovation, yet Apple were recently stating that the hardware doesn't matter, so apart of me half expects re-hashed iPhone 4 gear, with possible antennae adjustments naturally to reduce the interference in that "corner." Sadly though, although I like their phones, I don't like the company's attempt to block competition and thus do not support them. Anybody not Apple delusional, which many Apple people are normal, can see that these patents are not only stupid, but inconceivable that they were granted in the first place.
