Only if you can get your system stable at that voltage. However, your idle temps are pretty high and lowering vcore won't do much for your idle temps. Usually, idle temps don't matter at all (only load temps do). You said you're getting 74C load which isn't good but it's not horrible either.

If you're certain that the thermal compound and heatsink are on correctly then it's a matter of ambient room temp + case airflow.

Those load temps aren't bad at all given the ambient temp.

Go look in the NZXT Phantom club thread and ensure that your airflow is optimal. You could also get some higher performing fans which can help you lower your temps even more.

Is your computer in a very small room?

ok, did a cold boot and temps were 40-37-41-36, but played BFBC2 for an hour and now idle temps are around 47c, is this normal?

CPU temps are always lower after a cold boot. 47c is pretty high for idle but again, it can't really be helped if you have a very warm room. Your temps can be improved by replacing/adding quality fans to your case.

I feel silly asking this, but you took off the plastic from the bottom of the Silver Arrow, correct?
