Sennheiser HD555 used or refubrish?

Thread Starter
Right now I can get this set for $70 used or refurbish. I don't know much about head and this set will be my first pair of headphones were I pay more than $15. But has anybody has any problems with refurbish headphones? There are some electronics were you really stay away from buying refurbish and just buy it new.

Just wanted some input from you guys.

Audio equipment is a very common thing to buy refurbed or used. $70 is pretty good for that pair you are asking about.

Mainly the feed back I'm asking would be if you would buy them used or refurbish being both at the same price $70.

The ones I can get used are supposed to be in almost new conditions.

I've bought a couple of refurb items, and they are still working. I think the risk is the same, buying used or refurbs.

Or if the user didnt bother cleaning the headphone pads at all and you get them and they all dirty and nasty. Tho I usually buy headphones B-stock and most times for me they come like new cond. Like my AKG 702 that i bought B-stock.

refurbed is better, because it might still be brand new in box to use. Used you will never know if it has damage.

I almost always try to get refurb'd. With the condition my 595 pads are in at the moment, buying them used would be disgusting.
