Apple may be overpriced and extremely locked down but hell if they arn't leading in innovation. Now, are they limiting the speed of how there innovation comes out and stopping others from getting ahead? Damn straight i'll agree with that.

Are you kidding? They think a front facing camera is revolutionary. But the thing is, my HTC phones from the Windows Mobile days had them. rolleyes.gif

Most of the iPod ideas were taken from other companies that didn't succeed with their own product.

What innovation are you talking about? I don't see anything special. Apple holds back all the nice features so they can save it for future iPhones or whatever else they make. Nice way to make money...

I'll entertain you on this. Please provide a list of innovations Apple has contributed to the market that was not already well known or used by direct competitors. If you are able to make such a list, I suspect it will be rather short.

You're confusing inventive with innovative. Someone doesn't have to invent something in order to improve (innovate) upon it.

And what exactly did they innovate?
Because what I have seen is them just implement what has been out there already, but say it's "brand new" and "revolutionary" etc.

Its like all the apple haters have their arguments on their clipboard because its the same sad story that gets copied and pasted into every apple thread that appears.
