Sabretooth P67

Asrock Extreme4

P8P67

How does this board stack up against the ones you listed? Is this the one in your sig?

You basically get the same compents as the Astock extreme4 with the one you listed...for cheaper...

also the asrock has 3 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 from the 2 you listed.

But the 3 is pointless - You only get the full potential from 2 = SLi/Normal Crossfire, as the 3rd PCI runs in x4..

and Yeah, that's the one. On reviews and speed, the Sabretooth seems the way to go mate, 5 year warranty, the epic futuristic Mobo armour (They're actually good thermal convection plates) and it's got SLi for you. Win Win? Me thinks so! *changes sig*

Say whaaaaaaaat???

Maybe I have this wrong, but z68 is p67+ssd caching & Quicksync.

With that being said, I am pretty happy with my MSI Z68A-GD65. OC's my 2500k w/ ease, and will play any game I throw at it.

I may be giving out the wrong information, but that's what I thought! :/

Yeah, it's a great board, just You'll squeeze a few more FPS out of the Sabretooth than it! Both do literally the same though :/

I would go with the ASrock or others listed over my board, its not a bad board but has some issues with vdrop or vrise as people have been calling it and is abit tricky to fine tune.

Yeah man, I'm really leaning toward the Sabretooth, but don't want to pay that much more for it. It'll be $429 for the 2500k and that board.
Check through all the best boards you guys and which one would you pick if you couldn't go with that Sabertooth?
I'm kind of iffy about getting an ASUS board with all the horrible reviews I've read about their support. Their support seems awful.

TBH, I'm being a whore and just going for Sabretooth, Aswell as an ASUS GTX 580 which obviously means it'll work better (JOKING. JOKING, again.) The review i saw had quite a few more FPS in a game I'm looking to play (ARMA 2) than the others, and the thermal casing looks pretty nice.. Would've gone for the P8P67 if It had SLi, but that's me just being futureproof.

If I had to (and would've gone for if I didn't find the Sabretooth).. Probably the P8P67. Faster than the ASrock, cheaper too. and AMAZING reviews about it's Overclocking power twinned with an i5 2500k. Only downside is, there isn't any SLi support, only Crossfire (Silly, Silly idea) AFAIK. Couple of nifty features, and if that version isn't enough, you can check the pro, and I think deluxe versions if they've got what you want.

Sorry they're all in pounds, but we don't have the luxury you Yanks call 'New Egg'. I'm sure they've got them over there, albiet a hell-of-a-lot cheaper due to rebates we never seem to get. :'(

Hope I helped mate.

I played the Arma 2 demo on steam with the setup I got right now and it ran very well. Had the resolution to 1920x1080 and all settings as high as they would go except AA and possibly Vsync, which I never use AA anyways. The game ran great. I didn't use FRAPS to monitor the framerate, but seemed like it was consistently above 30fps.

I think I'm going with the P8P67 then since it seems to be a great board for a reasonable price. What is the difference between the 3.0 and 3.1 revisions?
I still have to buy RAM after this too that I forgot to mention. Aiming for 8GBs. Any suggestions on that lol? I have 4GB Corsair Dominator PC-8500 right now.

Usually amazon is the same price as newegg and offers the same rebates as well. There is no rebate for the P8P67 on either site at the moment. Amazon.co.uk has it for $10 more than what newegg has it for, but newegg is also charging $8 for shipping, so they're about exactly the same in price.

Aha, Well.. I'd still want the luxury of Newegg - A specialist, rather than Amazons (Albiet still awesome) We Haz evaryting u r n33dz!! approach.

I think, between Rev 3.0 and 3.1, It's just Bios updates.. Probably minimal changes to circuitry and the likes - Anyways, It must have needed the update, even though it's minimal '3.1'.

For RAM.. G.Skill Ripjaws X have a stunning deal for 8GB

Can't beat that for pricing. Thanks for the rep, I do try to help!

If theres anything else, just ask ;D
