Ok guys heres my dilemma. My budget is 2k heres my build.

case -Antec df-85
gpu -xfx 6870 crossfired
mb - asus crosshair V thunderbolt am3+ board
CPU heatsink - antec kuhler h20 920
PSU - corsair 850watt gold
RAM - mushkin 8gigs 1600 CL7 1.5v
Monitor -asus vg236he monitor
CPU -therotically the 8 core bd

My question is this. Is it worth it for me to go ahead and order this stuff or will it drop in price when bd comes out?

Computer stuff doesn't normally go up in price, I would wait until BD actually comes out to order everything - prices will probably drop to the point where you can get some better stuff than what you even have listed

Prices won't drop much, if at all, on the separate parts. I would get a cheaper/smaller PSU unless you plan to add another video card at a later date.

Everything looks good except for the memory. I read somewhere that the BD's will work best with 1866mhz RAM, so look into getting some of that:

1866mhz ddr3

or from here

faster 1866mhz ddr3

I would scrap the 6870 crossfire it leaves no room for upgrade and go with the best single card you can afford and crossfire it later if need be.
Worse than crack.

what in the world is costing 2k out of that and why not just buy more 5870 instead of getting 2 6870s

Thanks for the tip. I wasn't sure my self which ram speed would be best for BD so I was on the fence on 1600 or 1866.

I know it leaves no room for upgrade but the point is 6870's crossfired make amazing gains. I can have 2 6870s for almost the cost of a a nice 6970 and out perform it by a lot.

All quality parts? Keep in mind im getting 8gigs and 2 GPU's as well as a monitor, and im adding 350ish for bulldozer to the total cost = about 2k. 5870s are hard to come buy and overpriced imo. Also I plan on selling my current rig to my friend. Giving him everything but my harddrives.

I'm honestly not a fan of Crosshair V... its missing the top PCI 1x slot most boards have for Sound cards... what I thought was funnier the Extreme edition comes with a Sound card... and the only 1x slot is right below the first PCI-E slot...

Bye bye Tri-Fire or Versatility =\\

And yes you wouldn't beable to find another 5870 new, they are pretty much all gone for any reasonable price. At that buying a used one is buyer be ware.

As for your GPU, simply wait it out.

AMD 7000 series is going to be released in Q4 or Q1 2012 then you can hook your self up with some 7870's.

__________

As for your build that is a pretty pricey case, though I would without a doubt go with a full tower, try and look for good combo's/deals if your using newegg. There are alot of em.

I'm a huge fan of Corsairs but I had to do alot of hunting to find mine on a decent sale, 850W is perfect but for your your doing 750W will work too. That is a pretty price tag on that as well, I only payed about 110$ for mine 2 years ago.

For CPU Cooler the H80 performs marginally better then the 920, that or you could possibly go for the H100 which is unsurpassed by all of them.

So.

My main recommendation is change that cooler to the H100.

And Hold out on the GPU's for now.

And not being a fan of 3D, I don't really see the reason to go for that monitor personally its just really pricey. But Each to their own I prefer not having headaches looking at my screen with silly glasses on.
