looking for advice on future build

hope this is in right section.
so as of tax season next year this is what I have decided on (for the most part) for next gaming rig

case: xion gaming series
dvd drive: lite-on burner
gpu: gtx550 ti
sound: x-fi titanium fatal1ty
ram: 8gigs (2x4gig) g.skill ddr3 1333
mobo: p8p67 pro rev 3.1
cpu: i5-2500k unless ivy is released at time of purchass
air cooling: nh-u12p se2
storage 3x1tb sata

thoughts? suggestions?

Waiting is the best suggestion. There will be new parts out by then, Sandy Bridge-E, Ivy Bridge, Bulldozer, Southern Islands, Kepler, faster SSD's, etc.

yeah... I get that... the main thing I may waiver on is cpu... dependant upon pricing, I may swap out for ivy... and I cant see the pro's of dropping alot of cash on a ssd when they are super expensive, for smaller size drives... and the bigger the drive, the higher the price markup....

It's because platter drives even at 15,000rpm can't do what SSD drives do. There are pros and cons to both, but we are in this for speed and SSDs smash things.

i would make 3 changes

Corsair 8GB Vengence 1600 RAM

but of course prices may fall by the time you upgrade so you could get a better graphics card or cpu
