No. Eyefinity is heavier on the GPU, not the CPU, so if there's no bottleneck on 1 monitor, there won't be any on 3 monitors

You might have slight bottleneck with older, single or dual-core optimized games, due to the not so high clock, but nothing to bother your really, you won't even notice it

Will he get 1/3 of his current fps, when going with three monitors

I'll test your theory right now, I'll run a game one 1/3 of 1080p and see if the fps is 2/3 higher

Nope at 1/3 of the resolution the fps is 80 my current is 45 so I'm guessing I will be in the 20s for eyefinity at max settings

What make you feel better. I'm running on X4 975 which was released early 2011. Not even 6 cores and I have no issue at the moment because majority of the games run on 2 cores. But in year 2012, I am forseeing more and more 4 cores games aka Battlefield 3.

Crysis 2 maybe already is, I'm not sure and I don't have references on that.

Nah, I haven;t played a newer game that hasn't left me completely GPU limited.........

Only games that didn't max my GPU in eyefinity were The Witcher and Oblivion (without mods, or forcing AA through CCC) simply because they were only utilizing 1 core!

Even old FEAR 1 left me with a GPU bottleneck @ 6080x1080 ......

No, there are other factors in performance than raw number of pixels that must be displayed, even if entirely GPU limited.

All other things being equal, tripling the horizontal resolution will cut frame rate roughly in half.
