If the sound file is crap to begin with it dosen't matter what audio processor or headphones you use.

The other day a classmate approached be asking if I was interested in a pair of high quality IEMs.

I guessed immediately that they were Beats, and forced him to sit and listen to a few tracks through my Altec UHP336. (SuperFi3's on the cheap)

He was immediately blown away and forgot about the Beats after three minutes.

This isn't always true, most headphones color the sound slightly, so depending on your tastes it will sound better on better headphones.

everyone in my school has beats.......showing off using either the monster beats around their neck or the in-ear ones with one in and one out
+2 to Voodoo sound. Couldn't use my SGS without it.

Anyway, I've yet to actually have a good go with a set of those beat headphones.
I tried a set in an Apple store briefly but couldn't understand the fuss.

it has muddy bass and is generally over rated and over prices for sound quality

My m50's do a much better job at keeping my ears warm, and they sound far better for far less.

If the sound quality on HTC devices improves I approve. I love my evo, but I would love it even more if the sound quality was better.

I dropped a whopping 10$ on some JVC Over ear head phones at shopko

JVC HA-RX300
url

and the sound quality is great + they go ALL THE WAY OVER my ears so they dont hurt after wearing them.

I would not EVER buy overpriced garbage headphones that are "beats" if htc phones that sound better have a premium price as well.. no thanks..

Lol beats.

Beats are like the apple of headphones:

Hipsters love them.
They're more of a status symbol than anything else.
The quality/price ratio is absurd.

They aren't the worse headphones out there but they are put in a shiny casing and sold for way too much.
