So I have a fun project for after work this week. Since it's colors are absolutely hideous.
Ehhh, best not to do that IMO. Once the paint starts to wear off it will look really bad.

@ OP

If you're going to paint/dye it, you could fill and sand the texture smooth first. A lot of work, but that would look pretty slick IMO.

Sounds like he is dyeing it, not sure if that would wear off the same way paint would.

My plan was to use this stuff for the keyboard itself:
http://www.krylon.com/products/fusion_for_plastic/
I read some good reviews on it and it seems to be a newer(ish) product.

Than I would likely dye the key caps separately.

Heard anything about that stuff?

That paint adheres alright, but it still chips off and wears through over time, as Marin suggested. I would dye the entire keyboard if possible. Something like this would be pretty cool...mind the crap photoshop skills...was bored.

That looks pretty fantastic.

Per-say I was to dye the entire board. Do you recommend any products to do the job? If I have to order it online that's cool, but I would like to pick some up locally if at all possible.

Edit: Found this thread.

I shall do some shopping around.

Just don't dye the case - it's ABS and it'll bend if you put it in hot water.

Back to Black.

IBM M13

Yah, that dying the case thing ain't gonna work. Painting is OK but why not have fun with it?
