Downclocking interesting discovery

Thread Starter
My GTX570 downclocks to 51MHz during idling.

The funny thing is: it would shoot up to 3D clock if I use the page scrollbar on the right but it would remain at 51MHz if I use the mouse scroll wheel to scroll down.

Furthermore, Firefox, IE, WordPad would behave so but NotePad does not.

Comment?

I believe firefox and IE are explained by the fact that they use hardware acceleration, wordpad could just be bloated.

As for the downclocking itself, that's normal and to be expected.
