Why are you telling him to rma when there is nothing wrong? You can't run 1.087v on reference cooling with a 470. You need water or a better cooler.

Check my sig for the Kuhler....Might work for you like it does for me. 47c load temps all day in furmark at 915mhz. $62 is all you need. My performance at those clocks in on par with a gtx580.

So last night I requested the RMA and the PNY Rep wanted to have Screenshots of GPUZ clocking my card at high temps. I was playing Crisis2 on stock settings and auto fan, with crisis 2 settings to DX11, hires and ULTRA everything. I was getting a consistent 91C. That Antec Khuler to GPU sink looks pretty interesting, would that be a good course of action or should I still aim for an RMA?

What temp was it getting up to that it caused the crash to desktop? Most likely it is not worth the $ to RMA the card, because the one you get back will probably run just as hot. OC'ing a reference 470 doesn't work out too well, I'd take the $ you would have spent on RMA, and do what BigCactus did to his.

I'm liking the looks of that Arctic Cooling Accelero rather than modding my card for now... Just so happens I have the cash to do so too...

With that cooler 850-900 core should be doable.
