Will this fit on my 470? - Page 2

I can OC my stock GTX470 to 775 on the core without heat issues. I do have to run the fan at 100% during gaming though and it does get quite load, but the temps are only like upper 60's.

I did lap my GPU and the cooler so they were a near perfect fit though, so my results were likely significantly better than would normally be seen.

It is a lot quieter than stock cooling under any kind of load, but slightly louder than stock at idle since the fans stay running at full speed. That can be solved with a fan controller though.

The Icy Vision does eat up more room than the stock cooler.
Thanks but im going to wait until i can get a full tower case and an HXX/100 cooler and ill just put that on the 470.

Antec Kuhler...check my sig. Gonna need 3 free slots however and $62. Should idle around 34c and 47c at 99% load at moderate fan speed. Should fit since the 300 has a 120mm rear fan.

My card is on the bottom PCI-e slot and i cant move it, so unless the cables will stretch and contort from all the way down there it wont fit.

I'm pretty happy with my Gelid Rev.2 on my GTX 470. Even with OC at 825/1650/1830 @1.125voltage my GPU temp doesn't go over 67*C when playing Witcher 2 and that means 99% GPU use. Gelid is the way to go for Air cooling solution.

Are those fans LED or just clear blue.
I have the Icy Vision on my 465, love the thermal performance. I only load at 60c with my OC.

BTW, the fans are UV blue. If you have UV cathodes(I used to, both died. lol) the fan blades will illuminate nicely.

Side note: If you get the Icy Vision, I strongly advise you connect it to a fan controller. The fans on it are quite loud. If you have the fans plugged into your PCB on your GPU, the fans are unaffected by nVidia control panel fan control as well as Afterburner fan control.
