Never used the stock cooler, couldnt tell ya I think 3.8 was the highest I could go on my H50 without any voltage or FSB business. My RAM and mobo are terrible for overclocking haha

Welcome to OCN, by the way

Well you have the stock cooler meant for a dual core 555, which is much smaller. temps seem high still though!

Your temp sensors work unlocked?

It is nice, just keep a look on your temps though.I'm still messing with ocing my chip.
Highest atm was 4.0 ghz but i would not advice that with stock cooling

I lapped my stock cooler, so that's kinda cheating...

3.6 GHz on 1.40v, fan spinning at 6500 rpm, tops out in the 58C area if ambients aren't too bad. If it was cool I could go for 3.7 GHz on 1.43v but that would start getting a little too close to 60C. (linpack temps)

This of course keeping the CPU-NB at 1.2v or so to keep that heat down.

Really I didn't gain a whole lot going to the H50, stable at 3760 MHz/1.46v (all my chip can do, voltage hungry bugger, 3.8GHz isn't stable till almost 1.55v), but at least I have my sanity. 6500 rpm gets old real quick. Plus I don't have to turn it down on a hot day.
