You should be able to get around 4.5ghz, give or a take a few hundred mhz. Check out this guide

Actually luck of draw

The motherboards don't play as much role as other platforms. You'd mostly get at least 4.2ghz to 4.5ghz.

Personaly i cant c the point of overclocking past the point where you have to turn features of the cpu off. why buy one in the first place if u dont use em. so i keep my speedstep and ht on hehe and 4.2 is so overkill for my games anyway.
