140w mAtx boards

Thread Starter
I'm in need of what seems to be impossible from what I've seen, though I just thought I'd give this place a try to see what others' could come up with. I'm poking about for, well, obviously for what the title of the thread suggests. The thing which gets me though, is that I DO need it to be relatively cheap, has some sort of RAID support, 4 memory slots, socket AM3 (or AM3+). Whatever motherboard you've recently stumbled upon or discovered which you'd like to share is appreciated

The Biostar TA890GXE is a good one but they're hard to find now.

As long as you get revision 5.2 you should be fine.

Eh, honestly I'm looking in a rather http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130560 oriented price range. Though, I AM quite tempted by that first option you posted, I think I might just be too cheap to spend a realistic amount on a motherboard.

or

both should handle 140w processor just fine. I wouldn't expect to do a whole lot of overclocking though

I suppose instead I should be asking something like this: what kind of board can I expect for 50 green ones?

At a limited budget of $50-60 there aren't really many choices for proper 140W support (a quality 4+1 phase is the norm/minimum, with adequate cooling if overclocking), but there are choices.

- $60, $50 after rebate - shipped - pay $2 deducted from rebate return and you will get this rebate back in 9 days (no wait service)
Biostar TA785G3HD - $60 + $7 shipping
