New (Possibly Second) Monitor

Thread Starter
So I'm in the market to pick up a second monitor. I really enjoy my Samsung SyncMaster 2343 and would probably like to pick up another but it looks like most places don't sell it anymore.
I mostly watch TV/Movies with gaming as a close second and would like another 23" preferably with the same 2048x1152 resolution. My OCD would love one that has the same physical appearance as well, but we'll see what we come up with.
Any suggestions would be great thanks.

Hmm no help? Are the conditions a little too narrow?
How about any nice 23" 2048x1152 monitor?

Sorry for the bump, but this is weird and may be time sensitive.

What is so bad about these monitors that Samsung stopped making them and they're selling for $50/$60 on ebay? Should I try to grab both of these or just start fresh with some new monitor(s)?

Also if anyone snipes this, they'll pay

That's it, I'm changing the thread title.
Questions on the table:
Should I grab another syncmaster 2343 for $50/$60 (refurbished)? I'm happy with it but perhaps my eyes are sorely lacking.
Are there better monitors I should be trading in for around the $200-250 23" range?

Advice?

If they are 50 to 60, that's very cheap. If you want a secondary monitor, that's a good deal. Very good

If you don't feel like the quality of your monitors is lacking, you probably would not appreciate higher quality monitors enough to justify the price difference compared to that deal. Just my opinion.

That's what I thought too (though there are some scratches on the stand that I'm not thrilled about).
Are these monitors specifically bad?
Although I'm happy with what I have, that doesn't mean I wouldn't be happy with something better. Is there one that gets recommended a lot around here/one that you would recommend?

Well that is a medium end monitor. The next "real" upgrade from that would be the jump from the TN technology to IPS technology, producing better colors and viewing angles. However, the cheapest ones at 1920x1080 cost about 250 dollars (though sales happen from time to time), and I would not recommend it compared to a TN 5 times cheaper if you are going to be the content with the TN.

But in the end, it's your decision.

Hmm the thing is I am trying to sell some things and if they go through my monitor budget would actually be ~$500 so it would be theoretically possible to pick up two $250 monitors (because that math was too hard to figure out). If I go that route, would something like this be good?

Or more something like this?

Better if http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...019&Tpk=u2211h

The asus one is not really that good. The LG I Don't know much about.

But, do you value superior color quality enough to justify the price?
