First brand new rig -> Installation of Win7

Hi there to everyone! I have pretty noob question, but this is actually my first "clean" rig that has nothing pre-istalled on it.

In a couple of weeks I'll get my new rig, but it comes totally clean (no Windows pre-installed). I was just wondering, what is the proper steps to make when installing windows for the first time? My rig is in the sig.

I have a clue, but do I miss something?:
1. Only plug in mouse & keyboard (Do I need to connect the internet on aswell?)
1. Turn the comp on
2. Hit del to get into BIOS
3. Put the windows CD into the drive
4. Change the boot priority to DVD-ROM
5. Change something to AHCI if necessery
6. Hit save&exit and start to install windows 7

Are these the proper steps? Or are there other things to do aswell before the actual installation of windows?

Thank you very much for your help!

First you have to assemble the components, or it wont work

This rig comes assembled? If so, that is pretty much it except...you might have to change the BIOS settings accordingly like memory timings and CPU settings. But if it does come assembled I'd assume that's taken care of as well.

AHCI only applies if you have SSD as your OS drive...I think.

Yes, the rig comes assembled.
Oh, I'm pretty sure I have read somewhere that AHCI applies also on HDDs. But please, correct me if someone knows for sure.

If it is assembled, just pop the disk in. Worst thing that can happen, you have to change settings yourself. No biggie.
