1. If you are satisfied with how the Xai worked on your mousepad: Is there a official default value you can set the ExactLift-Distance to in order to get the Xai's behavior?

2. When the Xai was released it was stated that the software was just optional. You could do all the settings with your Xai display you could also install the software once, do comfortably what you wanted to do and all the settings you made would be stored on the Xai Profile. Does the same go for the Sensei?
E.G. Is it possible to use the software to set all the "Exact"-Settings to the desired value, choose some illumination colors, upload a bitmap to the Sensei, uninstall the software and still use the Sensei the way you configured it without installing Steelseries Engine again?

3. Does Steelseries Engine require to be running all the time or can you just use it the way you could use the Xai's software (start it, do your settings and close it)?

1) I don't understand the question, sorry.
2) Yes.
3) You do not need to have software running to use the mouse.

Tis true. Most diverse playing styles I've ever seen in a competitive game.

I had an Ikari when they came out, eventually the click wore out. I RMA'd it, and the click ended up wearing out again.

I did not want to wait in between the RMA process again so I just sprung for a Xai when it came out. Now, the right click is worn out. There was no audible click anymore, and I had to apply a little more pressure to actually get clicks to register.

I have a couple of friends with the same issue as well.

I popped the right click out, and put it back in and now I actually get an audible click, but I have to apply even more pressure to get clicks to register. Consequently I also cracked the plastic top a tiny bit doing this.redface.gif

So my question is KimRom, has anything been changed or improved upon with the mechanics of the clicks with the Sensei?

Thank you.

Regarding my first question: If one is satisfied with the lift of distance the Xai has, can he adjust the Senseis ExactLift-Distance to this level easily (e.g. is there some kind of default value that resembles the Xai's value) or does he have to try out different settings in order to achieve a similar experience?

It has the same sensor, I'm gonna assume it has the same lift off.

It should have the exact Lift Of Distance as far as the sensor/firmware/lens goes. (forced automatically to around 1CD/1.2m/m depending on surface)

Thank you. I just wanted to get sure to avoid running into trouble. The Xai's "automatic" minimal Lift of Distance has served me well and I would not want to miss this feature. biggrin.gif
