Having issues with mouse / cursor lag and i think is related to the profiles and the software ie SS engine. If more that 2 profiles are created, somwthing is causing lag .
Any one having the same?

Having issues with the cursor getting lag/freeze/stuck and i believe is be cause of the profile manager jumping between the settings for each application

Motherboard: ASUS Maximus Formula x38
CPU: Intel Q6950@3900
GPU: HD 4870x2 in crossfire (4Gpus) PowerColour
RAM: Dominator 8GB (cant remember the model)
HDD: Ocz V3 128gb SSD, 2x samsung Raid 0
PSU: Thermaltake 1200W
OS: Windows 7 (64 bit)
Yday i got the Sensei mouse, I will not go into gaming with the mouse.
Using the software to configure the profiles,
In Win7, I have a profile called firefox. one called IExplorer
If Firefox is open then click on the desktop, the mouse will lag about 1/5sec then the cursor will jump and continue working
If i have both Firefox and IExporer web pages open then the mouse cursor will lag every time i try to change pages from firefox to explorer as it changes the profiles. Extremely frustrating.
I change the application profile to include the .exe for both browsers under the same profile.
The trigger for the executable file is under top bar called properties

So one profile for both firefoxe and iexplorer.
So iam using one profile this time but with 2 triggres for the exe.Basically iam telling the mouse that regardless what application is running to use the same profile.
Ånow going from any browser to the desktop will also cause lag on the mouse cursor .
Opening Start->Programs mouse cursror will lag. Desktop area to firefox -> mouse cursor lag. Firefox to IExlorer same,
Any suggestions
EDIT
Reseting the mice defaults the settings, ok done
without the "SteelSeries Engine" running there is no auto profile detection.
Running of the default profile that means, with nothing to identify there is no lag issues when changing windows.
With the engine running there is a small peak in CPU utilization like 1%
With the engine running and a profile selected ie firefox just just pressing the Windows start button will cause a delay on the cursor, that gets stuck on screen for an instance before going forward.
Same if i have two windows open
one with firefox and another with IExplorer. Thought the profile does not change there is the delay / lag of the mouse cursor on the active application.

That tell me there something strange happening with the build in mechanism that detects the open application. But i might be wrong

I've got a problem in using the Right row of buttons when trying to give them a native button. This is so I can map them in bad company or Mumble/Vent.

According to the profile I've put onboard and activated, Button 6 should be picked up elsewhere.... but it doesn't.
How can I fix that?

Bit of a waste not being able to use the last two buttons on it :/

By Default, they were mapped to changing volume, urgh.

Sorry for asking but did you notice anything with the profiles?

With ambidextrous mice I thought you could only use one side or the other? At least thats the way my Lachesis was

Not sure what you mean....

good to know that sockswithsandals.

I've sent in a ticket to steelseries and they were actually pretty helpful, they've forwarded through to development and from their wording It seems to be a bug that will be fixed soon. I'll let you know if i get another reply from them.

In other news, I jumped into bad company today to realize that the logo at the bottom wasn't there, and the settings were different (and colorsS).... It seemed that I had to have the steelseries engine at the time running, which seemed to magicly have it work then? Hopefully That was a once off glitch.

My Ikari died after 3+ years of honored* service.
Now I have doubts what to get. When I first saw the announcement, I wanted to get the Sensei immediately.
Or should I get an Ikari white (that cover seems more lasting than the rubbery black one)?
My ideal size would be between the two: slightly narrower than the Ikari but still right-handed.

Any ex-Ikari owners in this thread?
