did you update the firmware/drivers and see if that fixed it?

i have no issues with mine, i love it.

Ok, I need help!

I recently bought this mouse. I've had it for about 2 days.. at first everything was just fine. But then i downloaded the SSengine for the Sensei. The installation of the software went just fine, but then when it was finished it said:
(I've translated some of the text from swedish to english)

I've restarted the computer and re-installed the software several times. I've checked processes but "SSengine" isn't in the list. Neither is there any folder showed up in %Appdata%. That is because the program haven't ran. It crashes before it starts, with the same error message.

Since the SSengine didn't work I checked out the "SS Firmware Update Tool" and ran a update on the Sensei mouse. The updater crashed on 41% with an error, so I had to force turn off the computer. Anyways I turned on the Updater just when my computer started and it started from 41%->100%. The mouse however didn't recover fully. When ever i press the right side-buttons of the mouse, it does scroll down and upp on pages.. but not only that. It also drag down my mouse pointer, both of the right side-buttons drag down my mouse pointer. Even in-game.. which is the most annoying part.

Has anyone else had the same issue/problem, or have any idéa how to fix this? Please help if so!
All these problems is a real disappointment, thumb down.

I think the most important step now, is to get the firmware update to 100%.

Then you could remove the Steelseries Enginge and look, if the mouse behaves normally again.

If that's ok, you should make sure to run the Steelseries Enginge with admin rights and try compatibility mode etc.

(just some thoughts, I don't have a Steelseries mouse)

New here smile.gif got the sensei 3 weeks ago and it works almost perfect.. When I play my bf 3, if I spot and shot at the same time the **** starts to happen. My gun stops firing and I have to either press left mice button again to shot again. Dont know if its my mice or keyboard, but the problem first came when I got my sensei. Had the Razer Mamba before. My keyboard is the Logitech G19. Hobe that someone here can help me. Thanks!

I spent about 8 hours of my life—no exaggeration—looking for a proper mouse to replace my Razer DeathAdder. I chose the Steelseries Sensei. I should be getting it in the mail within the next week.

Anything I should know about it before it arrives?

A bit more comfortable than the DA if you have small hands, and perfect for claw gripping. smile.gif Oh, and expect it to have 5% acceleration if you are on a cloth(soft) pad, a hard pad should fix that to some extent but the Sensei controller as Skylit mentioned tracks fairly good compared to its predecessor- the XAi. There seemed to be a problem, upgrading the firmware if you have the latest version of the software but I guess that bug is fixed by now.

The Sensei is pretty awesome in my book, you might miss that 1:1 tracking from your DA, but there are more options to keep you busy and generally a better LOD(1mm?) lowest and that is configurable if you had problems with the DA's optical sensor other than that it's a solid mouse(build quality). biggrin.gif

I'm hopefully getting one, currently saving. frown.gif

I received my Steelseries Sensei today and I am absolutely loving it. I'm going to use it a bit more before coming to a conclusion but so far I prefer it over the DeathAdder, although I understand there's a $30 price difference.

Don't hesitate, be calm, don't break your mouse, it will WORK.

I had the very same problem, getting stuck at 41% and then giving a "Could not find bootloader" error, with the blue led blinking(and the LCD: Updating to v1.3). I did what kushk, actually it was already written in the SS FAQ page. But how do I know if I've the latest firmware, on the XAi, there was a version no for the firmware but I can't find any on the Steelseries Engine for the Sensei. Is there any way to check the firmware onboard(currently)?

I'm afraid it'll get stuck again if I try the one directly for the Sensei from the SS download page, rather than the SSEfix which worked for me, and I don't want to spam either(for 200 times or so). biggrin.gif

It's miles better than my XAi tbh. The firmware(even the stock one) felt more stable and the most weird thing is I used the XAi at 1800CPI all my life at 0.55 sensitivity(ingame) for CS but for the Sensei I've to use a sensitivity of 1 with 1800CPI but it still feels more accurate(slower). The lights are a plus, I never liked the idea of having lights on my mouse, but it's a pretty feature and you have the freedom of turning it off if from the drivers if you don't like. smile.gif Oh. and the scroll wheel is definitely an upgrade from the XAi, and the glossy coating is similar to my R.U.S.E which is another plus for me. biggrin.gif

I also tried exactaim for the 1st time yesterday in a match and it worked nicely. I'll take some pictures shortly, to sum it up it's a very clever mouse(minus the accel). biggrin.gif
