SteelSeries Sensei - Page 59

Hi,
i i have the sensei for like 3 month already and i really like it but its works really bad with the QCK pad..

Here is a video i made:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oc0MwJ9NkXs&feature=youtu.be

you can see that if i move the mouse fast its just doesn't track so its impossible to play like this frown.gif

Settings:
450 CPI
500HZ
without any acceleration

so i bought the qpad heaton xl and its nice but its just not like the QCK frown.gif

i saw a lot of Pros players play with xia or sensei with QCK and i am sure they don't have this problem....

So what do you think is the problem?

thanks

I love the shape on the Sensei, the button placement, the weight, the look. If only Steelseries would offer it with a better sensor I may not ever use any other mouse ever again. I do not get it. Put in an optical sensor without acceleration or prediction and you have an intellimouse-like classic. Probably easier said then done. One problem is probably that they are tied to laser sensors because they must have that high DPI on the box.

You know I was warned by several people that Steelseries make good stuff but their Quality is rubbish. Well now I'm paying for not listening. I've had this mouse what, 1 month now and the right click is so screwed up that if I even breathe on it, it's as if I pressed the right click button. It's not like I use the right mouse button a lot either, it's just crap. It was fine when I first got it, the left and right mouse buttons worked the exact same, the clicks felt the same, the pressure to actuate them was the same. Now that's just gotten worse and worse.
These buttons are supposed to be good for what, 20 million clicks? Bull****. I've clicked it maybe 150 times so far and that's it, and the button is already screwed up.
Now I'll have to RMA it, if SS will even accept the RMA, and pay 25-35 bucks to mail it back (I'm in Canada). It's not even worth sending back. God this **** pisses me off, why does no one in the ******* world make a quality product any more? Why is it all made in China crap? And this mouse isn't even cheap, it's expensive, was over 110$ with shipping and taxes.
I may have had issues with Logitech in the past, but at least they stand by their product and will send you a replacement without having to worry about sending the defective POS back to them.
And why does Steelseries not have an official forum?

So I took the mouse apart, I was really really really hoping it was just a piece of food or something that was screwing up the action but unfortunately it actually is the omron switch. The left switch clicks nice a loud and has good tactile feedback, however the right switch has practically none.
And I just checked my order, I received this mouse on the 14th of March. So less then 1 month old. Pathetic.

Wanted to give the Sensei a go, and undecided between the Regular Sensei vs. the Raw. Also thought the pulsing white was more interesting than the color change on the regular (minor thing if anything). Kind of thought the extra customization on the regular would be the only thing I would miss...anyone who has the regular Sensei or has the two (both regular and raw) have an opinion on the extra customization and price difference?

Get the sensei if you want more bling, otherwise get the raw or something else. Most of the extra customization thing are useless.

I own a sensei and I really like the shape. I also like that every button has a micro switch.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the original sensei is better than raw because with the raw LOD is not customisable which is a very important/useful feature. There's no need for 40% LOD if you can still track more than perfectly well on a lower setting (say 7-0%)

Question on the RAW:
This actually is a little hard to explain, but--is the right mouse click a little looser than the left? I'm not entirely sure if its supposed to be this way, but its just a bit loose, and has a tiny bit of give before the click actually occurs...It's not horrible, but I really the left and right click switches and plastic covering them to be very solid with no looseness whatsoever...

What's the sensor of the RAW like compared to the Kana? I'm trying to decide on which one to buy (sensei for side buttons and appearance, kana for weight, size and price) but I don't know much about the sensors they use.

Soooo....as far as I can see from user commnets, some unofficial SS Sensei User Experience Poll would be :

70 % - dissatisfied
30 % - satisfied
