Well, it's not rechargable but the m305 from Logitech is quite nice, battery lasts ages and it tracks quite well. (been about a year using it for my HTPC, so I don't use it too often but it hasn't beeen replaced yet)
That's probably not suitable though, you might miss having a back button for internet browsing and it's not rechargable.
I've also owned a G700 and they're very good for general usage, they're expensive and the acceleration gets in the way when gaming though so it's also not likely to be for you. (in my opinion)<< Ignore the G700 recommendation, they're more expensive than I thought and I got mine cheap.
Way back I had an MX1000 as well which was also nice, big and heavy though.
Don't have any experience with other wireless mice though so I'm probably not much help.
Could you link a couple and I'll try and give you a hand searching reviews and stuff?

One of the critical reviews says he uses it 9 hours a day and still got about two months per battery change so the USB thing mightn't be a big issue depending on your usage. Just to have a suggestion out there.
