Hurry, Nick! Get to the product-differentiation-copter wink.gif

Also, convince them to bring back the Bargain Bin in a revised format that wards against macros.

Don't resist, give in!

What are you talking about dude damn? Can we have ONE thread were some delusional PC elitist doesn't trail off on some stupid wild tangent.

There isn't a PC game that uses more than 2GB of RAM so please stop with the misinformation.

FYI... More console gamers buy the AAA games than does PC gamers so developers are right to cater to us. We simply spend more.

Also, you should blame the casual players on your platform because even they outspend you.. So its a bit ironic for a relatively insignificant market to complain about consoles when on their platform they have the largest group of casual gamers which determine the tide of gaming more than you do. Heck, it's the core console gamers that ensure that the PC still gets games with the rampant influx of casual gamers this generation thanks to items like the Wii, Kinect, and PS Move.

Whats more is that ports cost less than non-ports. It's far easier to port a game over than to build it from scratch, this is just common sense. So I look at the situation like, it doesn't matter if its a port, just be glad you even get the game in the first place.

If only these price drops would apply to DDR2...

I'm stuck with 2GB.

I remember when dd2 shot up in price. Bought 2 kits of 2x2gb for $50 each. Ended up selling one of the kits for $100, used that is to help fund my water cooling project

now if we could only get 8gb ram sticks in a reasonable price range

Insane prices. Might as well upgrade to 16 GBs. Hopefully OC is still stable after adding two more DIMMs...

2x4GB SODIMM kits were $600.

Aahhhhh, memories...

I got a really good deal on my Dominators, I paid $70 w/ free shipping in Jan 09, not to bad for the 2 1/2yrs (and counting) of use I've gotten from them. Plus they overclock like crazy biggrin.gif

...But then again I also remember paying $140 for 2x1GB of 1066Mhz Ballistix Tracers in 2007 and they were used.

Since RAM is so cheap it looks like it might be time to upgrade a bit, I've actually been eyeing a pair of Redlines, but well see how Bulldozer turns out.
