If you bought two gtx 570's to sli, what ones would you pick and why? - Page 3

For single card I agree the DCII is a great card but I don't know if I would recommend them if they had to be touching (only three slots available with no gap between cards) when the TFIII would have a space between them which would certainly work in it's favor.

The MSI twin frozr III simply is the best. It also has better VRMs so it won't blow up. Have fun with that!

Yea I've owned the Asus, great cooler really cool and quiet, more VRMs and power phases than stock, really good VRM cooling. Drawbacks would be on average it doesn't have as high of a potential OC as the MSI TFIII does, and in your situation the two cards would be right up next to each other which would be a detriment to their biggest advantage, their excellent cooling. I think the Asus DCII and MSI TFIII 570s trade blows pretty well for single cards but in your situation I would go with the MSI TFIII 570. Like I said they are finally in stock again at Amazon at a good price and they won't last long so you might want to jump on that.

So I can throw some full cover waterblocks on them. Im actually trying to sell/trade my 560ti hawks so I can get my hands on a 570 or 580 reference card.

The reference 570 has VRM problems even underwater. If you wanted a full cover block then the options would be the gainward or palit non reference, the new EVGA classified 570 with a 580 block, or the Asus DCII 570 with the block that EK is going to bring out for it. All of those would not have VRM problems and have or will have full cover blocks that fit them.

I really like the way the Asus looks, but as stated cooling wise the two msi twin frozr iii would work better. Which brings me to the question how do you find out if the asus would even fit before having the MB or GPU's?

I asked in one of my above posts if the picture I posted was of your case. If it is then it has three slot spacing and therefore 2 Asus DCII 570s would fit but they wouldn't have very good airflow into the top one, hence my recommendation of the two slot MSI TFIII PE/OC 570 which would have room to breath.

This.

Go with the TFIII. You won't be sorry. Can't wait to try these cards on BF3 and Deus Ex!

Just bought a couple of these.. Sure go for the MSI GTX 570 Twin Frozr III, but I bought these much cheaper. They got great vrm cooling, sure some might say they would blow hot air around in you case, but I got air flowing from the side pannel fans straight through these and with full load with fans set to 100% (very quiet) max I got was 66c overclocked.
-Just remember in less than a year away, the next gen graphic cards are coming out, so I'm going to sell'em anyway...
