Can somebody clarify this for me please

Thread Starter
I have been looking on the net for the last 30min on SLI watercooling bridges. They seem to be cheaper than buying 3 compression fittings for SLI 580's. Is there any performance increase or flow increase with these connectors. Or would it be best to just get a normal compression fittings for 2 580s on a EK block? Thanks

i wouldn't say that they give any performance increase. somtimes they can decrease if they are smaller than tubes which causes restriction. if you make the tubes too big however, you can cause turbulance which also casues decreases in performance.

The SLI bridges work very well and look neat, just make sure you're getting the correct ones. If you decide to stick with compression fittings and hose and make sure that they are not too big (or small for that matter).

The koolance adjustable are more restrictive than typical sli connectors because they are an adjustable tube inside another tube.

Just like compression fittings, I think it's more for aesthetics/eye candy (the bridge)

I had this issue on a previous build and I switched to BP D plugs and the flow increased.

I'm just wondering how much flow you would loose ,that's all
Is there any data on this ?

I can tell you the ID goes from 10.4-8.5 on the KL and my flow rate increased after I switched to the D plugs.
