Go somewhere else ?when I'm trying to help you out, you don't help us saying HEY GUYZ IVE GOTZ SOME FLICKERZ DEAD 580 AND NOW MY CF DOESNT WORK.

THIS IS 90% SURE IT'S POWER SUPPLY RELATED SINCE THOSE CARDS ARE ENERGY HUNGRY.

No specs we can't search for the right thing.
Once you'll have filled them we will gently help you out.

EDIT: ultralol

(I had to same problem trying to crossfire 2 4870X2's a year ago)

WHAT IS YOUR PSU I'M THRILLED NOW,
So let me resentence all your problem.
You killed a 580, you try a 6970 crossfire it does some weird stuff and you did try to quadfire 4870 and it didn't work.
I wonder what the problem is.
Hmmmm
It's may be your PWER SUPPLY ???!??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
wanna get on my band wagon now ?

I got to agree with others, I heard there was glitch with AMD Radeon's and crysis.
I'm still interested into knowing your pc specs though

Maybe if you read up ull find them out, but as your still on the Corsair wagon i spose you havnt taken the time to look up and read..

Anyway the others have helped me without talking about PSU's and the like

I have to agree with him. Don't tell me I'm a Corsair fanboy as I dislike Corsair PSUs(don't hate them, but much better choices). 150pounds seems a little low for 1000 watts, least a good one. Maybe your PSU is just bad? A rail is overloaded? Check with another PSU is the only thing I can think of.

Link me some good psu's then lets compare Amps and max loads.

BTW Max load and AMPS Means nothing.
You could buy a 100 amps power supply that is complete garbage.
You could buy a 2000 watts power supply that is complete garbage.
I've seen people with 800 watts power supply unable to handle their spec, yet they bought a REAL 500 watts power supply and it worked flawlessly.

Edit :
I just saw your spec on page first, it would have been better to put them in sig rig I wouldn't have to look for it.

Anyway, it can be a lot of things, but for having crossfire not working, burning a 580, and a weird 6970, I'd say it's either the motherboard or the PSU.
I know you paid a lot for your psu but it doesn't make it indestructible.
You could try to find someone with the same socket motherboard, but I'd try an other psu first since it's easier to do and would clear that possiblity.

Ok well as ive sold the 2nd card before i threw it out the window i will have to look at getting a new psu on upgrade

It was one of the biggest i could get at the time, there was only a antec 1200w out at the time and i didnt think i needed it.

Ive made a post in the psu section explaining it a bit better.

P.S Sorry about last night check your Pm's

Regards

The item sold 4 days ago but he contacted me last night saying when he plays Crysis 2 for 30-40 mins the screen display goes red and the screen rips apart.

Anyway he sent me some SS and a video of him playing while its playing up (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NRRN0ZAL) if anyone cares to take a look i would be grateful its only 100mb,

Here is a SS of it ripping/red

and in the same spot but "working"

http://postimage.org/image/qnipv98k/

The card is only 5 weeks old its never had the stock cooler removed / been overclocked

What do you guys think do you think its broken and needs RMA'ing or drivers playing up?

Thanks for reading.

Regards
It looks like Crysis 2 is bugged (stuck in Alien frequency+interruption signal) according to the video. That's not your GPU artifacts! It's the post-processing effect.

Reinstall Crysis 2, apply latest patch + DX11 patch + high res textures.

Clean reinstall 11.8 Driver preview with 11.7 CAP2.

This doesn't hurt to try anyways. I don't see how it is PSU issue, I run on HX750 with Crossfire HD 6970 both... in Crysis 2. I've play through Crysis 2 about 10 times and I've seen each effects.

HX750 is actually rated as 900 watts PSU. Corsair and Seasonic always down rated it to archieve 80+ silver certified.

HD 6970 Crossfire is 600 watts min.

wow nice cheers thanks for letting me knw !!

i was contemplating buying another psu :s

btw I have just reinstalled crysis 2 and it works reallyt well with my 6970 crossfire.

i had fraps running aswell to show me the fps and at some parts in the game it went as low as 14 fps :s!!!

i ran hardware monitor aswell and my amd 1090t @ 4.1ghz got to 57 degrees, I heard this temperature is ok though so am not too sure if i should underclock it :s.

also my GPU got to 94.5 degrees and that concerns me as ive heard the max it should go is 92 degree :s

if you can shine any light on these temperatures it would be really greatful.

(i was playing for about 2 hours)

thanks

Part of my Ref card hits 101'C due I didn't have enough ventilation between the cards.. I ended up swap the non-ref on top and left the Ref at the bottom so it allows more fresh air in the ref card.

These card can handle up to 100'C. But not one like to cook an egg inside. I would suggest to put a side fan blowing in between the 2 Ref card. I assume yours both is Ref design.
