Need a sound card!

Thread Starter
Im going to be purchasing the Sennheiser 555 headset. I need to pair it with a soundcard, but know nothing about them to a certain extent. "Kinda" on a budget so I'm really not looking to spend more than $50.. Any help is appreciated.

I'm using a HD555 as well, paired up with a Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer. Its working wonderfully for me and its much better than onboard.
I suggest getting this if you're going to be gaming a lot.

It doesn't do bad in music as well, but if you're looking into music a used Xonar D1/DX will work.

It has an incredible amount of information and has the best options for price/situation. Should be very easy to find a sound card that fits your needs .

Get a Xonar DG/DX/D1. Way better than extremegamer/extrememusic and even titanium (non HD) for that matter. Go on ebay and you can pick up a DG/DX/D1 for less than $50. Basically what I did.

In fact: http://cgi.ebay.com/ASUS-Xonar-DX-7-...item1e65df69d9
