Maximus IV Extreme-Z won't post :(

Thread Starter
Hi guys my brand new Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z won't post. All the leds and fan turn on and do an infinite boot loop (I think?) but doesn't show post screen. I have tried pressing the Mem OK! button with the RAMs in the coloured slots.

Here are the things I have tried:
Clear CMOS (Using Jumper)
Remove CMOS Battery for about 30 mins
Hard Reset
Switching out the PSU and VGA
Each stick of RAM in each slot individually
Minimal build on a piece of cardboard outside of my case
Pressing the Mem OK! button

I have had no luck with any of the above solutions. At this stage I am out of ideas and could really use your help. I suspect the Motherboard to be at fault as the only thing I could think of is either the CPU or MB is DOA. Everything is brand new as I am building a new i7 system.

it 99.9% the cpu lol, but really I had the same problem, without a working cpu the system loops ( its the case with every Mb ) try rma the MB in case like I did with evga and if it still doesn't works your cpu is dead also y overclock or even install windows

That what I was afraid of A infinite boot loop is when a bunch of random number that seem to repeated itself? right? Should I rma the mb first or the cpu? and I can't install window 7 or overclock cause I can't get into bios at all.

I reseat the RAM about 4 time, I test one stick of RAM in each slot individually and still won't post. I will try reseating the cpu next.

if you have the debug LED's it should stop somewhere, either the RAM, CPU, GPU or BOOT led, which is it?

Take the ssd off, don't occupy any sata ports.
Try inserting the GPU into a different PCI-e slot
Take the GPU out and use the onboard GPU if your mobo supports it.

Use only one stick of RAM when trying the above (coloured dimm slot).

Report back when you have tried those.

I am running the system barebone, with one stick of ram (in color slot A2), VGA card and CPU. No SSD on it and it's on a cardboard box. I had try a different PCI-e. As for the debug led it seem to stop at number 60 (DXE Core is started) and then repeated itself with a bunch of random number. I said 60 cause it seem to last the longest then the other numbers.
