I had 1560 points.

I ended up with 2910 points.

Microsoft had made a mistake with the rewards program, and basically had multiplied the amount of rewards points you earnt by 6-8 times (confirmed by Microsoft and via my billing).

The mistake has been rectified. Points are being removed from accounts. As far as I know people wont get into trouble for spending them if they did. This is according to Xbox Support via Twitter despite some scaremongering by xbox.com forum members.

Currently I now have 1810 points. They didn't take all of them, lol. Shame they took away the other 1100 but I still got 250 for free, haha.

Yeah me neither. Those Halo 2 multiplayer days back then made the subscription worth every penny. The emulation on the 360 never played right and it had a higher latency.
