question about backplates

Thread Starter
Im looking to get two nickel plated ek backplates for my 570's. The thing is my 570's are already setup up in my loop. Is it possible to install backplates without having to take the card out of the computer?

Also how do they install? With screws? or some other kind of device to hold it in place?

I can see you running into more problems and it taking longer than if you just took it out of the loop, especially if the cards are spaced closed together - you might be fine with the top one, but the 2nd one is going to be a pain to install :-\\

You might be able to get a 90 degree screw driver and slip it on in there, going to be a tough proposition though, maybe if you can pull the cards out of the PCI-E slots if you have enough slack in the tubing.

If you do have to pull them out, just clam the tubes off right before the GPU that way you don't have to pull much out. Just a couple thoughts

Well, I will be changing my tubing in a month or two anyway as I will be moving over to comp fittings. I will just get this taken care of while I do that.

Thanks for the help. +1
