cloning a raid array to single sata

Thread Starter
okay, im having a problem with a raid array in windows server 2008 R2 64

i have the operating system on a raid array, not sure why, its the problem i inherited

so i want to be able to clone my raid array to a single 3gbps sata II, both drives are 500 gb so i know i must get a 1tb to do this

i have tried acronis true image 2011 but when i go to install on the server to clone it, it tells me i need a server version

anywhere to get a program that doesnt distinguish if its a server or not?

i heard clonezilla, but also read some bad things

You could give EaseUS a shot. I used it....once. I make no guarantees, only a recommendation.

Acronis True Image, boot the DVD and start cloning. I've done it before numerous times and never really had any problems. I found it for ~$15 and it was the best investment I've ever made for hard drive management.

well the thing with Acronis is that its for everything but windows server 2008 R2 and i nned to clone this array before it completely fails, the operating system data is crucial.

im going to check out easeus but im not sure which of the progs id need, any help on that?

No idea man. like I said, I only used it once before. i will mention that I did have some trouble with the restore. HOWEVER (and this, I feel, is important), their support staff was EXCELLENT in trying to help me figure out the problem (which kinda fixed itself, oddly). I'm not talking about the community (though they helped as well), but I believe I was in contact with some actual product admins.

The link I gave you looked as though they had a server version and I believe all of them are free? Just poke around their site and see what suits you.
