My AMD Phenom x6core gaming issue - Page 4

Hey, I have a massive NH-D14 over my CPU. From my more experienced perspective, I feel somewhat better having better cooling over my CPU. I know that on this NH-D14, my CPU will never pass 55C at load so long as I am at my current overclock, which is a very good thing

I think a stock NB/HTT/RAM is holding you back more than the CPU speed in LOTR online. Also your HDD.

dued. look at my sig rig. i am useing this board and it seems to be doing very well for what i am doing to it.

if you are not going to cross fire than you are safe.

i got my cpu to 3.8 easy and stable and it is dirt cheap.

and even though the phase power is 4 + 1 it is strong as hell.

Yeah, I may replace my 8 gigs of 1066 with 4 gigs of 2000 as was suggested a while back. Oye...it feels like everything except the video card is the issue lol.

And I can see logic there, Xd. If youre going to overkill something...might as well be the cooling! Can never have too much

Well, from yesterday and today, I've gathered:

I need a new mobo. Plain and simple.
My RAM is too slow. Gotta replace that.
Need a cooler, if overclocking my "slow" processor.
My case won't work.
Hard drive is probably a culprit.
PSU might be too weak.

At least I have my graphics card going for me...? *facepalm*

So you need a new computer, LAWL.

So, upon cracking her open and further research, I have 8 gigs of DDR3 1333 RAM. I recall Jagged_Steel saying it might be a memory issue that Im having, but could RAM at that speed be very bad?

My HDD is a seagate 7200 RPM 1TB. I bought a 40 gig Intel SSD tonight, could that possibly help my issue of bottlenecking running my game on that?

The only thing after that...is the mobo/cpu. I intend on getting an ASUS M5 board tomorrow to help OCing it.

Are there any other suggestions out there? Is that RAM still not sufficient?
