E8500 + parts

Thread Starter
Selling for a friend:

E8500 @ 3.6Ghz
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P motherboard
Corsair Dominator 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 1066
Asus 4870 512MB It's this one with modded fan so you need to connect to a fan controller or system fan on the motherboard.

It's an old system so doubt he has all the boxes and parts. lol
Any input is appreciated. smile.gif

E8500 @ 3.6Ghz $50 at best (amd quads go for $75'ish)
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P motherboard $40-50 (good board but dead socket)
Corsair Dominator 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 1066 $30 (but since its a legacy memory you may can milk $50)
Asus 4870 512MB $40, since GTX 260's go for $60 or 70 from evga BStock with a limited warranty

ORLY

I wouldn't give $80-90 for a dual core when you can get a Q6600 for $90-100 all day long
$100 + for a sckt 775 mb? Um no its a dead chipset and if someone is buying for a "legacy" build I don't see them giving $250 for a mb + cpu + ddr2 when for that you can get a am3+ or 1155 setup thats not a few years old.
4870 for $70 when its slower than the GTX 260 core 216 and you can get them from EVGA for $70 with warranty

........ I don't think so:helpingha

$225 for i3 + 4 gigs DDR3 + 1155 h67 mb
http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=24289008

and here is the GTX 260 core 216 1.8 gigs memory for $80 with 90 day warranty

YOU are completely missing the point.
The UD3P is the most sort after Skt 775 board on the market and rare to find, E8500's have a higher value to benchers and will sell for more than Q6600 which are very old 65nm chips, DDR2 Dominators are some of the most sort after memory and 4870's easily sell for that price, regardless of getting lucky to find a GTX260 on EVGA B Stock.

Just because YOU would pay for it, doesnt mean someone else wont.
Maybe check what these sell for recently before making an appraisal based on what you would pay?

I might be more willing to listen to your reasoning if you used sought instead of sort

Personally at how hard the UD3P is to find, I would say a good 85-100 bucks depending on the condition. My board has a dead nic so I would sell it for about 75-85 bucks tops. All my prices are shipped.

CPU I woudl do 75-80 shipped. Now if the thing was a gold chip that is a different story.

Ram - 60
