Mouse Issue in ASUS P8P67 EFI BIOS ...

Thread Starter
I have the Microsoft Laser Desktop 5000 Wireless Mouse & Keyboard. When I get into BIOS, my keyboard works but the mouse doesn't.

Also, it behaves like the mouse is there, but not in my control. The cursor keeps moving in between, causing issues when I try to navigate with keyboard.

Has anybody faced this issue? with wireless Mouse & Keyboard. The Laser Desktop has a receiver unit that is connected to my Rig. through USB. But, the mouse & Keyboard communicate to the receiver unit wireless..

Is it connected to a USB 3.0 port? If so, then connect it to a USB 2.0 port.

Of course, I am talking about the wireless receiver.

Didn't get that ...
This is a brand new motherboard that I've unboxed yesterday, along with the Processor.. and installed Windows 7 on the SSD. So, now I have everything installed & updated.. But, this mouse issue in BIOS is killing me ..

Are you referring to the Battery in the mouse? If that's the question, then, yes, battery is absolutely fine as the mouse works perfect once I boot into Windows ..

That quite honestly sounds to me like it's connected to a USB 3.0 port.

So I'm going to be irritating now: are you absolutely sure it's connected to a 2.0 port?

Yes, absolutely sure , as all USB 2.0 ports are clustered together, whereas there are 2 USB 3.0 ports at the back, but they are Blue in colour, and both are vacant..

Has anybody managed to get a wireless mouse working in the EFI BIOS?

Looks like this issue is still live, and ASUS has been saying that a BIOS update should resolve this, but, I'm on the latest BIOS version, but, issue persists..
