Lamptron Vector Series (Lamptron's First PC Case)

Thread Starter

Hi Overclock.net,

My name is Daniel and I am an enthusiast modder and have been for many years. When I started building cases around 3 years ago, all I had was a dremel, a heat gun and a dream. Fast forward to the present and I am now building cases on CNC's through the company I founded called Epic PC Cases.

Our first case to the market was going to be my Carbide Series but due to a stroke of luck, Lamptron opted to take the design under their wings and bring it to a much wider audience.

That audience is you and what you will see in the following photos is the case as it would have been. As members of overclock.net you now have the opportunity to make this case your own and help us shape it in your own vision.

This is where you come in!!!

The purpose of this thread is to collect suggestions and we are genuinely interested as to what you would like to see added to this case, keep it constructive and we will try and make design changes as the topic progresses.

Keep in mind Lamptron are already making the below changes:

1. Anodised and brushed aluminium interior and exterior.

2. Drive bays at the top.

3. A single as opposed to a dual PSU slot.

4. HPTX compatibility.

5. Fill and drain ports already implemented.

6. Vandal resistant switches as standard.

Here is a simple template for you to use to provide useful feedback:

1. What would you like to see added to the case and why:

2. What don't you like about the case and why:

3. Any additional comments:

Also if you would like to see more of the carbide series case please click here or visit our youtube here .

SATA Back Plates for the HDD Racks and the HDD's to be mounted on 3.5/2.5" Drive compatible sleds.

That way you don't have to mess with cables when swapping a drive.

Haha yeah I know right! Man I miss C-O, the new one they built for it just doesnt seem the same though -_-.

The input is great so far, we will see what we can do with hot swappable drive bays.

if possible put the hdd racks below so you don't see them. (Yes i'm saying screw hot swapping) but i think it would look nicer that way. and a cover for the 5.25" drive back ends so we don't see the dvd drivers and wires from fan controllers. Maybe even put in some tubing holes on it so you can leave it on with watercooling.

The hard drives are actually mounted on the backside of the case and are hidden. Let me see if we can get an image for everyone.

I see, how about the later part? as i think it would be awesome to not see a gray rectangle sticking out.

As for the latter we don't have pre-made solution for that but it sounds really easy to solve, I'm sure we'll figure something out by our next blueprint.
