Confirmed, I added the proc to my cart, picked a mobo that was $60 and added it, and got this on checkout..

So they raised the price of the PII X4 840 by ~$32 (Was $98) to increase the motherboard discount... awesome... It may work out to be a wash, but it's still frown.gif

Actually disregard my previous post, if you look on Newegg it goes for 104.99, TigerDirect has it for 99.99, and Fry's has it for 97.99. So I wonder if Microcenter will price match with Fry's and still honor their ad.

I'm really giving a stare down at the 990FXA-UD3 board and price matching that too since its 159.99 at MC and 149.99 on Newegg. So if theoretically this all works out it will go something like this:

Phenom II 840 129.99--> 97.99 Frys price match
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 159.99--> 149.99 Newegg price match
Supposed discount off the mobo $80--> 69.99 Final Mobo price

So for a decent CPU and amazing Mobo you'd only be paying 167.98 + regular taxes. Idk guys, I'm kinda pumped to go try this out tomorrow biggrin.gif

They apply the discount first, then pricematch.

Well there is a Frys literally right down the street from the Georgia Microcenter where I go to. I'm sure if I say, "well I'll just go throw my money into Fry's wallet then since THEY'RE DOWN THE STREET," they can do something tongue.gif
