It seems as if most, if not all, of these problems are related to the BIOS. I mean the hardware can do it. It has 8 phases when some have 4 and can get to 4.5 I ordered it and hope they hurry up with a bios update.

well do the extreme 4 and extreme 3 have VRm controls in BIOS like switching frequency? one thing i found on ASUS boards at least eh P8P series have to have its swtiching frequency increase dto 350khz. The Extreme 7 doesn't have that control.
