I mean i am not always right, and when i am proven wrong I will say so, but in this case I know what I am talking about.
The PCI-E 1x slots are PCI-E 2.0 slots, the 16x slot are PCI-E 3.0.
This board has PCI-E 3.0 for those 16x GPu slots, they are PCI-E 3.0. its written on the box dude. Sometimes they copy and paste specs
The MSi Z68X-GD80 (G3)
The G1 Sniper 2
The Assrock boards with the G3 or whatever behind them.
These boards all have native PCI-E 3.0 capability, you just need a PCI-E capable device and CPU and BIOS.
What makes this PCI-E 3.0 capable? The fact that it uses PCI-E 3.0 PCI-E switches.
I don't think your board will have this sticker on it, but mine did:
BTW this is also from the first link:
"Support for PCI Express Gen.3
Approx. double the potential data bandwidth
The GIGABYTE motherboard is one of the first to provide gamers with the latest Gen.3 PCI Express technology, delivering maximum data bandwidth for the latest discrete graphics cards."Edited by Sin0822 - 9/5/11 at 11:29am
