NO. It's the other way around for watercooling! Not the GPU, unless you have a serious GPU Bottleneck and don't have enough $$ For a new one.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. Watercooling the video card reduces temperatures and noise by quite substantial amounts. There's more benefit to that than putting my Phenom II underwater, not that I haven't and won't be doing so again.

Anyway, I'm still trying to figure out what you mean. I paid ~$300 for that 5870 and ~$90 for the waterblock - it was pretty much ATI's best card at the time, and it wasn't about it being a bottleneck.

Thanks! I'll probably try to figure out what I need to re-do the watercooling and stuff and hopefully get that reconfigured before long. And I suppose I'll have to do some more sleeving... smile.gif

Info update:

I received my new parts today, including a XSPC Razor full-cover block and radiator, which turned up being a RX360. whistle.gif

Anyhow, I'll be working on this until late tonight I'm sure, and hopefully will have some pictures to post tomorrow. Yay.

Thanks for looking.

Sorry. redface.gif

Mostly a little leaking. Here's one picture before my laptop dies:

The RX240 developed a minor leak around the far G1/4" port. It should be fixed now, so I ought to be able to finish setting it up tonight.

This would be more or less final, but the RX240 is still leaking. I'll probably just take it out since it's not really necessary anyhow. Probably not for a couple days, though.

iv9u3a.jpg

Also, the 480 is at 890/1780/2200 at 1.138v, which seems solid enough - temperatures are in check as expected. Bumped the Phenom up to the standard 3.6Ghz, but I'll have to push it some more once everything is finalized.

Thank you very much. smile.gif

Honestly, I'm just glad it turned out functional, despite my impatience. There are quite a few things I could have done better, so I'll keep those in mind for my next (inevitable) scratch case.
