I suppose that if you find it unstable/artifacting in 3D rendering, you can raise the voltage.

This is a bit like asking how far can you drive a car with a full tank of fuel... (I mean this in a nice way)

For each card you will have a different max clock before you need to start adjusting the voltage, even identical cards will not have the same max. But if it starts crashing or getting artifacts you have reached the limit with that voltage setting.
