Thanks Rich

The SSD setup advice helps a lot ~ I would have had the thing lit up like a christmas tree, causing all sorts of trouble..

I don't know why he wants 3 optical drives, or so much storage space, and he will probably be using that 2600k for facebook games (for a while; says hes going to go to school for computers, but LOL) It's his money, I guess.

As build-time grows near, I am getting more and more concerned with
  • how many cables will be littering this beast
  • how well I chose the fans (and how I will connect them)
  • the downgrade of the mobo
  • the odds of having zero DOAs
  • thermal paste removal/application

Nothing I can do but hope for the best, I guess.

I really, really, REALLY wish this thing was going on MY desk. I'd make it sing to me

I know this thread belongs split up in 5 different sections - 'tis a bit more than "Intel - General" ~ thanks for all the help
