Nope. And you can change the gui somewhat. That was always laughable to me when people said that about Windows. I think if anything Windows offers more gui customability than Gnome or KDE do. As far as OSX goes not as much but you can still change things.

You, clearly, have not used kde, plasma, gnome or indeed any other DTE or variant thereof.

And, on topic, please remember that OSx.xx is stolen.; it is bsd-hacked, and in fact that would be a better description of OSX. Apple don't write Operating Systems - because they are so crap at it. Apple do not innovate - they take and modify (as per the BEST jap companies, too.).

NOT an apple hater...

Actually I have used KDE and Gnome extensively. As far as windows, shading, buttons, font, window decorations, window buttons, go it's pretty much the same.

Yes and OSX is a variation of NextStep witch was BSD based. Everyone knows that.

www.kde-look.org

If you can make similar changes on Windows without breaking the EULA, I'll eat a sock.

Linux has so many great uses, but Windows is just a better home operating system. I am sorry Linux lobbyiasts.

I use Linux on my phone, on my router, server and other stuff as well so I am not a MS fanboy. I just know what reality is. Please quit acting like Ubuntu is a viable option to Windows 7, it isnt.

Linux is, from a purely technical standpoint, superior to windows: no file fragmentation, no viruses, no registry, less resource intensive, smaller install footprint, more adaptable. The only thing keeping Linux from being viable is third party support.

And I'm fine with that. I enjoy Linux just the way it is. If it's destined to be a fringe OS forever, then it's destined to be a fringe OS. But I still love it, and will keep using it.

Have to disagree linux is actually nice for almost everything the average user does. The only thing it isn't great at is gaming since it is opengl only.

Which one do you want Windows to look like? Give me 3 or 4.
