Explain SSD benchmark stats

I honestly looked around the forums and the other internetz for quite a bit, and for the life of me I cannot find an explanation of SSD benchmarks. If there is another thread explaining it, please show me. If not, could someone explain to me what all the things in an SSD benchmark mean(either statistically or practically), such as as the 4k, 512k, sequential and such, and their relation to Mb/s and IOPS. Thank you.

You dont need to dig soo deep in benchmarks.

ANY SSD drive, even the slowest will give you an awesome boost over an HDD, when used for system, and program starting.

The differences between SSD and SSD are rather small, there are fast, faster, and lightspeed, but you also have to pay the price of spaceship for it

Ok, I see. The only thing I was concerned about was that between the two SSD's I'm comparing(Plextor 128 gb, Crucial m2 128gb), Plextor has better sequential read/writes and in Mb/s, while the Crucial had a much better 4k and 512k, and much better IOPS. I wasn't really sure what those things would equate to in actual performance. They are the same price, so does it really matter?

In daily average usage, with OS, and Games for example? Nothing.
If you run benchmarks, or do specific work on the SSD, like copying small or large files every day, and watch for it, you may notice some differences.

random 4K is where it is at... The higher the more responsive the system will be...
4K files sizes seem to be the most common in the OS and how everything interacts better...

Sequential is better for bigger file transfers such as HD movies and such...
correct me if I am wrong...
